A medical consultant expert team sent by the Government of China to Malaysia for two weeks to exchange medical expertise in fighting COVID-19 war, from 18th April 2020 until 2nd May 2020.
The expert team is organized by the National Health Commission of China, and made up of 8 individuals selected by the health commission of Guangdong Province. They are specialized in different fields such as pulmonology, intensive care, psychiatry, infectious diseases, data analysis, virology and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Some of them had joined the fight against COVID-19 in Hubei Province.

LI Jun is the chief physician, professor, postgraduate supervisor of the integrated Chinese and Western emergency medicine, vice-president of Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
LI also engages in the diagnosis and treatment of acute critical diseases with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine, and is undertaking 9 projects of national and provincial natural funds. He has won the second prize of a Provincial and Ministerial Award. He has published 4 monographs and more than 40 papers, including 12 SCI papers.
LI has been working on the frontline since the outbreak of COVID-19.
WEN Miaoyun is an associate professor, postgraduate supervisor, and associate chief physician of ICU in Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. WEN mainly engages in the emergency and synthetic treatment with a deep understanding for ARDS, severe pneumonia, sepsis and organ damage.
WEN has been working on the frontline since the outbreak of COVID-19.
ZHANG Youping is a professor of nursing, director of the Nosocomial Infection Control Department in Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. She has acquired training certificate of hospital infection in the School of Nursing of Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

LIU Tao is a doctor of medicine, chief physician of Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention. LIU is entitled with excellent young medical talents of Guangdong Province, and is now a member of Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention - WHO Collaborating Center and Guangdong Association of Young Scientists.
LIU mainly engages in the research on disease prevention and control, specifically in the risk assessment and prediction of infectious diseases, environment and health.
SUN Jiufeng is a doctor and postdoctoral researcher of Sun Yat-sen University, associate chief technician in virology, deputy director of General Study Office in the Provincial Institute of Public Health, Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention. He mainly engages in molecular epidemiology, characteristics of heredity and variation and the immunoregulatory mechanism of the host.
He has published more than 60 papers on Lancet, JAMA Ophthalmology, Studies in Mycology, Emerging Infectious Disease. SUN is a Chinese representative of Young International Society for Human and Animal Mycology and a member of Mycological Society of China.
YANG Shifang graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China with a doctor's degree in 2009, and is now an Associate Chief Physician of Respiratory and Critical Medicine Department of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. She mainly engages in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary inflammatory diseases. YANG has published more than 10 papers.
YANG has completed several brochures and videos on prevention and control for COVID-19 in the project "Reduce the Incidence Rate of COVID-19 among Adolescents in Guangdong Province, a Popular Science Education."
LUO Xiaodan is a master of medicine, associate chief physician of Infection Department of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. LUO has engaged in the clinical work and study of infection diseases for more than a decade, acquired rich experiences in complicated infections, prevention and treatment of surgical infection in hospital and severe difficult hepatopathy. LUO has worked in the frontline during the outbreak of H1N1 2009, H7N9, MERS-CoV, Ebola, dengue. She has participated in several national researches and published more than 10 SCI papers.
LIU Xiangxin is a M.D Ph.D graduated from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Senior Psychologist of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, Academic Visitor in the Department of Psychology, the University of Birmingham, Psychological Expert of the Wuhan's 24th medical assistance team. He has over ten-year experience in mental health, excelling in psychological intervention and clinical treatment.
