Dr Shanthi Ratnam is a Consultant Intensivist and Physician in Thomson Hospital Kota Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia.
Panellist for this week:
Dr Lee Chew Kiok hold a Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS 2004) and Master's Degree in Anaesthesiology from University of Malaya (2012). Currently, she is at her sixteen year of medical service in Malaysia. After completion of post-graduate study in Anaesthesiology in 2012, and about three and half years' experience as General Anaesthetist with ICU exposure, gratefully, she had commenced on adult Intensive Care training from Jan 2016 to Dec 2018 in various hospital in Malaysia.
She is the Head of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Hospital Sungai Buloh (HSB) since June 2019. Since the onset of the Pandemic, she has been involved in setting up the Intensive Care Unit to received COVID-19 patient. Up to Dec 2020, ICU HSB has managed more than 500 critically ill COVID-19 patients. Hospital Sg Buloh has achieved one of the lowest mortality in the country.
